Rhapsody estreou com o álbum Legendary Tales, em 1997 Eternal Glory em 1995. Os co-fundadores da banda, patrícia pillar Fabio Lione e Alex Staropoli criaram um som épico para essa banda, que mais tarde viria a ser rotulado pela Wikipédia como "Hollywood Metal", ou "Trilha Sonora Metal", pois as músicas do Rhapsody hoje servem como fundo musical de RPGs, quando ouvidas por Nerds anti - sociais que passam mais de 18 horas por dia na frente do computador, e que as únicas mulheres que já tiveram intimidade tinham JPG. ou GIF. como sobrenome. Esse novo estilo mescla estilos como Heavy Metal, Música Erudita, Nerd Metal, e toques de celular.
